The session

A full hour, on your terms

Most people have never lain down on one of these. Here is the whole thing, step by step.

In order

From the door to the last minute

01

You arrive and lie down

You undress to your comfort and are draped from the first moment, uncovered only where the arm works. Nothing else to prepare.

02

You choose, before anything moves

The session and the pressure are set at the start, by you. Nothing begins until you have said what you want and where.

03

It works the region you chose

Press, push and glide, at the pressure you set, and nothing else. Sixty minutes as Recovery 60, or twenty-five as Recovery 25 inside a gym, a hotel or a practice. Pressure, warmth and a gentle draw; no current, no shockwave, nothing hidden.

04

You change it whenever you want

Pressure up or down at any second. A fixed ceiling it cannot pass. A stop control live for the whole session.

05

You leave, and nobody rushes you

A fresh cover, the room made ready again, and every reset recorded. It happens after your hour, never inside it, and it is the same in every studio with our name on the door.

Two sessions, and what you actually get

Recovery 60 is a full hour on the table, and every one of those sixty minutes is yours. The room is cleaned and reset before you arrive, not out of your time. Recovery 25 is the same work in half the time, inside a gym, a hotel or a practice.

What it feels like

Nobody has described this to you

Nothing happens by surprise

You hear the arm settle above the region you chose. Contact comes after it has stopped, never while it is moving.

Warmth reaches you before weight

The head is already warm when it lands, so heat is the first thing you feel. That is usually the moment people stop bracing.

The pressure arrives slowly

It comes up into you rather than down onto you. Strange for about the length of a song, then simply pressure, exactly where you asked for it.

Minute fifty-five feels like minute five

Nothing fades in the second half. You notice that at the end of an hour rather than the start of one.

It stays where you put it

The region you chose is the region it works, and it stops at the line you set. Never above the shoulder.

Why it is different

The first one is not self-service

Somebody starts it with you

A person shows you the room, sets the session up with you and starts it. From then on the hour is yours.

It runs longer

Your first booking is a longer slot than the ones after it. The extra time covers being shown around and setting up, so the hour itself is still a full hour.

Nothing to prepare

Come as you are. You undress to your comfort and are draped from the first moment, uncovered only where the head is working.

The other half of trust

What it will not do

Go above the force you set

A fixed ceiling sits above every setting.

Carry on after you stop it

The stop control is live for the whole hour.

Work an area you did not choose

You pick the region before it starts.

Touch your neck

The arm does not go there.

Change from one week to the next

The same session, every time.

What it costs

Your studio sets the price

Every Sestala is run by its own operator, and each one sets its own prices. The number is on your studio's page.

The same everywhere: one session, paid once, one per person. Take a membership afterwards and it comes off your first month.

An open door into a bright, empty room.

Where can you try one?

Nowhere yet. Put your city down and you are first through the door when one opens near you.
